Position Summary We’re looking aSenior-Level Traveling Furniture Technicianwith a proven background inrefinishing, repair, and basic carpentryto join our growing field team. This is a hands-on role involvingfrequent travelto hotel job sites for on-site restoration of casegoods and custom furnishings. Responsibilities • Travel to hotel and commercial sites across the U.S. to: • Repair furniture defects (scratches, dents, loose joints, broken hardware) • Refinish wood usingMohawk products(stains, lacquer, toners, etc.) • Apply finishes using HVLP sprayers, brushes, and custom techniques • Color-match finishes and touch up visible wear or damage • Sand, mask, stain, spray, and seal casegoods and wood surfaces • Cut wood panels, radiuses, and cutouts with basic carpentry tools • Secure casegoods and panels to walls using anchors and fasteners • Maintain an organized work area and follow all safety procedures • Communicate with Project Manager and clients for updates or job changes • Submit daily progress updates and photos via Google Drive or mobile apps Required Skills & Experience • 5+ years of experiencein furniture repair, finishing, or millwork • Deep knowledge of: Wood finishing systems (Mohawk preferred) • Spray, wipe-on, and brush finishes (lacquer, oil-based, water-based) • Basic carpentry: cutting, shaping, joint repairs, wall anchoring • Strong attention to detail. • Comfortable with fast-paced field conditions, varied settings, and hotel quality standards. • Reliable with strong time management, communication, and organization • Ability to lift/move 75 lbs and work from ladders, kneeling, or bending • Comfortable using Excel, Word, Google Docs, and Google Drive • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Preferred Qualifications • Experience readingfloor plansorshop drawings • Background in FF&E or hospitality renovations • Must speak English • Previous work-travel experience and ability to be dispatched on short notice • Clear Written Communication Perks & Benefits • Paid overtime and travel days • Daily per diem for out-of-town jobs • Travel (flights, hotels, rental cars) covered • Paid time off and holidays after probation • Recognition-based bonuses and advancement opportunities Apply Today Submit your resume or work samples if you would like.
