Seeking High-Performance, Strategic Senior Vice President of Property Management (Private Equity Real Estate Investment and Services Platform)
The Relationship
As ourSenior Vice President of Property Management, you will lead our team of Community Managers and Regional Management Team to deliver exceptional property performance and operational excellence across our multifamily portfolio. This role demands a strategic, results-focused leader with a proven track record of managing large, diverse property portfolios in multiple markets. You will be the driving force behind our property operations, building high-performance teams, creating innovative strategies, and ensuring that every asset under management meets or exceeds benchmarks.
You will bring a deep understanding of property management best practices, from regulatory compliance and owner reporting to budget creation, marketing, and asset repositioning. Your leadership will set the tone for the organization, driving both financial performance and a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.

As our portfolio continues to grow in both size and complexity, we require a senior leader with exceptional operational, financial, and leadership capabilities to ensure our property management platform scales effectively and profitably.
Key Objectives for the Ideal Candidate
β’ Operational Excellence:Benchmark property performance against regional and national averages; create and implement action plans for underperforming assets.
β’ Strategic Leadership:Recruit, train, mentor, and guide management staff, creating a high-performance, results-driven culture.
β’ Regulatory Compliance:Act as primary liaison with IHFA, IHDA, HUD, and other agencies, ensuring compliance with all requirements.
β’ Investor & Owner Relations:Communicate with outside owners, investors, and delegates to provide timely, accurate, and consistent reporting.
β’ Acquisition & Development Support:Collaborate on acquisitions, due diligence, and new construction to ensure marketability and operational readiness.
β’ Financial Management:Provide budgets for current and new projects; review management fees and contracts to maximize income; coordinate with vendors for optimal pricing.
β’ Risk Management:Work with in-house legal counsel to manage property-related litigation and mitigate potential liabilities.
Role and Responsibilities
β’ Lead and manage Community Managers and Regional Management Team.
β’ Oversee property operations and the company operations manual.
β’ Set goals and implement incentive compensation programs.
β’ Ensure timely, accurate delivery of owner financial and operational reports.
β’ Coordinate internal teams and external contractors during due diligence and onboarding of new management contracts.
β’ Direct and oversee marketing, rehab, and repositioning strategies for assets.
β’ Maintain policies and standards that promote consistent, high-quality management across the portfolio.
β’ Work closely with HR on recruiting, training, and performance management of staff.
What You Should Bring to the Team
β’ Minimum 10 yearsβ experience managing large multifamily portfolios across multiple markets.
β’ Strong accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis skills.
β’ Proven success in marketing, repositioning, and value-add strategies.
β’ Exceptional personnel management skills, with emphasis on hiring, training, and staff development.
β’ High-level strategic thinking and the ability to see the βbig picture.β
β’ Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
β’ Results-oriented mindset with a focus on solutions and measurable performance.
β’ CPM designation appreciate but not required.
