About the Role:
We are looking for a talented, experienced, and passionate SEO Content Writer/Editor to join our marketing department as part of the SEO team.

In this role, you will focus primarily on updating and optimizing existing content to ensure it provides maximum value to our readers while adhering to SEO best practices. We aim to deliver the most up-to-date, insightful, and genuinely helpful content—bringing something new to the table rather than just repeating what’s already out there.

You’ll collaborate closely with the Senior Content Editor and Head of SEO to support our goal of making every piece of content class-leading. 

This role requires strong SEO knowledge, exceptional editorial skills, and the ability to take ownership of projects with minimal supervision.

What You’ll Do:

• Content Updates: Take ownership of updating and enhancing existing content to provide the most accurate, helpful, and engaging information for our audience.
• SEO Optimization: Ensure content adheres to SEO best practices, improving search visibility and performance while keeping the reader’s needs front and center.
• Content Management: Prepare briefs for external writers, review incoming content, and refine it to align with Connecteam’s voice, tone, and quality standards.
• Editing and Proofreading: Edit and polish content to ensure it’s error-free, engaging, and meets our high standards.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the Senior Content Editor and Head of SEO to meet team goals.
• Content Systems: Manage and update content using WordPress.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience: Proven experience creating and editing high-performing SEO content, ideally for a B2B SaaS company.
• SEO Expertise: A deep understanding of SEO best practices and how to apply them to create content that performs.
• Editorial Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, with strong editing and proofreading abilities. 
• Content Management: Familiarity with WordPress and experience working within a CMS.
• SEO Tools: Familiarity with common SEO tools such as SEMRush, Ahrefs, GSC, etc
• AI Proficiency: In-depth understanding of leading AI tools and how to use them effectively to elevate your work.
• Critical Thinking: A creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box and contribute new ideas.
• Independence: Self-motivated and capable of taking projects from idea to completion without extensive oversight.
