POSITION SUMMARY The Service Manager at GCL Home Services is responsible for leading our HVAC, plumbing and electrical service department, managing technician performance, customer satisfaction, and driving revenue growth. This role ensures timely, high-quality service delivery while promoting a culture of servant leadership, professionalism, and accountability. The Service Manager plays a key role in technician development, job performance tracking, and cross-departmental coordination to ensure operational excellence and a five-star homeowner experience. Beyond the homes we service, we’re committed to giving back and strengthening our communities—one home at a time OBJECTIVES ● Lead, train, and support a team of service technicians, ensuring performance meets GCL’s quality standards. ● Help drive upsell and cross-selling opportunities through technician training and mentorship. ● Manage daily scheduling and dispatch operations to maximize technician efficiency and job capacity. ● Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs): average ticket, first-time fix rate, callback rate, and technician productivity. ● Assist technicians with field troubleshooting and technical support in real time. ● Oversee quality control through field audits, ride-alongs, and job reviews. ● Resolve escalated customer concerns with professionalism and urgency. ● Collaborate with parts, install, and customer service departments to streamline workflow. ● Enforce safety procedures, code compliance, and company service protocols. ● Participate in leadership meetings and support execution of company-wide initiatives. ● Maintain expertise in the CRM system used by GCL Home Services. ● Oversee inventory and fleet management COMPETENCIES ● Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical service, diagnostics, and repairs. ● Team leadership and coaching capabilities, with a servant-leader mindset. ● Excellent communication and customer service skills. ● Data-driven decision-making and problem-solving abilities. ● Proficiency in ServiceTitan field service software. ● Ability to balance operational efficiency with quality and culture. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE ● High school diploma or GED required; trade school or associate degree preferred. ● 5+ years of HVAC, Plumbing or Electrical field service experience required. ● 2+ years of supervisory or management experience in home services. ● EPA 608 Certification required; NATE Certification preferred. ● Experience with dispatch and CRM platforms strongly preferred. ● Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS ● Able to work at a computer for extended periods (office-based tasks). ● Must be able to visit job sites, perform ride-alongs, and conduct in-person technician reviews. ● Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working in attic, crawlspace, or outdoor conditions during inspections or training. SALARY RANGE $85,000 - $99,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications, plus performance-based bonuses.
