We are seeking a dedicated Service Training Intern to join our Laboratory Automation Services (LAS) team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical and mechanical systems. You will be responsible for creating training content, building understanding of complex lab instrumentation, and troubleshooting equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. You will work closely with engineers, laboratory operators, and other technicians to identify areas of additional training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of laboratory automation equipment to ensure optimal performance.


  • Work closely with the LAS team, lab operators, and engineers to identify and recommend appropriate solutions.


  • Assist in the creation and review of training on the operation and maintenance of equipment.


  • Participate in projects aimed at enhancing laboratory processes and equipment efficiency.


  • Adhere to safety protocols and comply with regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree Associate's degree in Electronics, Engineering Technology, or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.


  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in equipment maintenance, automation, or a related field, preferably in a laboratory setting.

Skills Required:

  • Strong understanding of laboratory automation systems, including robotics, liquid handling systems, and software interfaces.


  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.


  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with team members and laboratory staff.


  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and reporting.


  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Preferred Skills:

  • Training facilitation experience.


  • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.


  • Knowledge of laboratory safety and compliance regulations.

Salary Range:
$34,000.00 - $54,000.00

The annual base salary shown is for this position located in US - WI - Madison on a full-time basis.
