Job Summary

The Shopfloor Digitalization Manager will lead continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives in line with Huhtamaki's strategic goals. This role involves integrating Shopfloor Digitalization into our World Class Operations System and collaborating with regional, global, and plant teams to implement the operations roadmap and achieve targets. Responsibilities include managing data accuracy and usability from the shop floor, monitoring program progress, and providing coaching and training to operations practitioners and champions.

Essential Functions

  • Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives in line with Huhtamaki's strategic goals and values.
  • Lead the integration of Shopfloor Digitalization into the World Class Operations System.
  • Collaborate with regional and global World Class Operations teams, Digitalization teams, plant managers, and operational teams to execute the operations roadmap and achieve targets.
  • Manage data accuracy, reliability, and usability from the shop floor for reporting purposes.
  • Monitor and report on the progress and impact of the World Class Operations program, providing coaching and training to practitioners and champions.

Job Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, lean manufacturing, or continuous improvement roles, preferably within the packaging or food industry.
  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Black Belt or Master Black Belt) or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of World Class Operations methodologies and tools, including DMAIC, value stream mapping, Kaizen, 5S, TPM, SMED, OEE, etc.

Preferred

  • Experience in data management, including proficiency in data collection, analysis, visualization, and reporting tools.
  • Proven track record of leading and delivering transformation projects and programs, with measurable results and benefits.
  • Experience in shop floor digitalization implementation, including knowledge of Industry 4.0 concepts and technologies such as IoT, cloud computing, machine learning, and robotics.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • High level of analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.

Environment

  • Willingness to travel up to 50% for business purposes.
  • Flexibility to work on a hybrid schedule, balancing office and remote work.
