Sign Designer

SIGN DESIGNER Houston Sign company searching for an experienced sign designer to join our team. We specialize in custom fabricated signs. Must provide sign design portfolio with resume. General Job Description: Work closely with sales staff to develop sign and architectural designs for clientele, including: interior sign packages, wayfinding (pedestrian and vehicle), monument/pylon architectural pieces, and large- scale tower/building identifiers. Work closely with the production staff to develop structural details and draft production ready art & frame design for previously designed (internally or externally) signs/architectural pieces. Necessary Experience/Skills: • A desire to learn. • Must be able to keep track of multiple projects simultaneously. • Extensive experience w/ vector art generation – CorelDraw preferred • Must be able to understand 3D space, and how it pertains to design elements. • General construction/structural knowledge • General knowledge of metal fabrication materials/applications • General knowledge of architectural materials/applications Preferred Experience/Skills: • An eye for graphic design and can provide valuable design analysis to clientele if needed. • 3D parametric modeling / SolidWorks experience • CAD Drafting experience • Expanded knowledge of computer systems/file management Job Type: Full-time Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year Benefits: • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Paid time off • Vision insurance Experience: • Sign design: 5 years (Required) • CorelDRAW: 3 years (Required) Ability to Commute: • Houston, TX 77039 (Required) Ability to Relocate: • Houston, TX 77039: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
