Sign Designer

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Sign Designer to join our team. This role is ideal for a talented designer who is passionate about creating functional and visually appealing signs for businesses, events, and other projects. Position Summary: The Sign Designer will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and producing custom signage for a variety of applications. You will work closely with client services team, and production staff to ensure designs meet specifications, branding guidelines, and budgetary requirements while maintaining high standards of quality and creativity. Key Responsibilities: • Create custom sign designs, graphics, wayfinding signs, dimensional signs, and more, based on client needs and specifications. • Use design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other graphic design tools to create visually appealing sign concepts and layouts. • Collaborate with our client services team to understand their design requirements and provide professional advice on design, material selection, and functionality. • Prepare production-ready files, ensuring designs are optimized for various sign materials and production methods (routing, printing, engraving, vinyl cutting, neon & led layout, etc.). • Provide clients with mockups and revisions to ensure satisfaction before finalizing designs. • Stay updated on design trends, materials, and production techniques to deliver innovative solutions. • Coordinate with the production team to ensure designs are correctly executed, meeting quality and design standards. • Ensure timely delivery of projects, meeting deadlines and exceeding client expectations. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) • Experience designing signs or in the signage industry is a plus, but not required. • Strong understanding of color theory, typography, and design principles. • Attention to detail and ability to produce designs that are both creative and practical. • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members. • Knowledge of sign production processes and materials (vinyl, acrylic, metal, etc.) is a plus.
