Sign Maker

PLEASE NOTE: This position requires an individual who can print, RIP, cut, and produce signs on various graphic substrates. If you are primarily a graphic designer without sign production experience, please do not apply. HGS needs an experienced Sign Maker to join our team. The Sign Maker is a professional, self-motivated team player with great interpersonal skills and values delivering excellence. The Sign Maker is also detail-oriented and able to efficiently manage multiple projects simultaneously. The Sign Maker is self-confident and is not afraid to show their professional ability, creative genius, and, most importantly, have fun! You will be printing large-format designs and signs with vinyl, using multiple substrates (wood, glass, PVC, acrylic, plastics). You will need to properly load and operate a Latex printer and a hot/cold pressure laminator and cut vinyl on a plotter. You will mask, weed, and apply vinyl to various surfaces. You will be using an X-Acto knife, scissors, tape measure, ruler, and other production tools safely and efficiently. You will mount, trim, and finish various digital graphics and signage. You will move raw materials, sheets, and roll goods for manufacturing. You will maintain machinery in good working order and install vinyl and signage to meet customer satisfaction. You will work in a fully air-conditioned office and shop in a clean environment. Minimum Job Duties: • Sign printing and production • Full-time availability (40 hours/week) • Answer phones • Consult/interface with customers • Maintain cleanliness and organization of manufacturing/production area • Assist in maintaining company signage equipment • Accurately keep track of electronic and paper records related to jobs • Learn new technologies, skills, and techniques to become a better sign making professional Minimum Qualifications: • 3+ years of experience as a professional sign maker and production • Background in vinyl creation and application • Large format digital printing • Expertise in using Adobe Design tool suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) • Experience with RIP software • Enjoy what you do Additional preferred qualifications: • Vehicle wrap installation • Knowledgeable in color management • Certified installation professional (3M, Avery, etc.) Please apply if you meet the Minimum Qualifications above and are ready to join a growing team.
