Description and Requirements

Lenovo is seeking an engineer for server Hardware test engineer , focus on server hardware design validation and analysis of new features and releases.
The ideal candidate should create, define and develop system hardware validation environment and test cases. Uses and applies emulation and platform-level tools and techniques to ensure server production HW design meet specification..

The Server HW test Engineer will be responsible for driving the System Validation of Intel/AMD platforms, which includes validation execution within in-house lab, results analysis, bug detection and root cause analysis.

Key Responsibilities of the Server Functional Validation Engineer:

• Mainly focus on Server System Integrated Test including but not limited to Function, RAS, Stress, OS test, 4 corner test, Margin test, Storage/Memory/CPU/PCIe card test...etc
• dentify, review design SPECs and deliver test cases, SOPs regarding product specifications
• Provide test requirements and review supplier test methodology
• Writing test plan and execution
• Identify in-house/industry standard test utility and provide automation test case design with quality.
• Defect analysis and close loop
• Failure modes of electrical components, PCBs, and electromechanical subsystems
• Lab and testing equipment such as chamber control

Position Requirement:

• 7-15 years experience in a similar role
• Familiar with Intel/AMD platform testing.
• Bachelor degree in Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, or related field
• Experience on hardware validation or design skill
• Basic Knowledge on Server Hardware Design
