Your Title: SketchUp Software Engineer

Are you a Software Engineer that wants to be at the heart of analyzing, designing, and programming cutting-edge software enhancements and new products in a collaborative environment?

What You Will Do

You will be working on projects focused around extending the capabilities of the SketchUp 3D modeler for architects, creating tools that make tens of thousands of users more effective.

The role will involve working closely with the product owner to understand requirements, estimate comparative difficulty of different solutions and propose alternatives that could satisfy the requirements when appropriate.

You will be primarily working on Angular web applications, some of which run in a standard browser and some inside an embedded browser window in a SketchUp extension. You will also be required to make occasional changes to the SketchUp extension code written in Ruby, and in the medium term to help out with a Ruby to C++ migration project.

What Skills & Experience You Should Bring

• Typescript knowledge and experience mandatory;
• Knowledge and experience with angular or similar JavaScript front-end framework;
• Strongly typed languages such as C++, Java, C#;
• Unit testing;
• Confident communicator in English, both written in online chat tools, email and documentation and spoken for video calls;
• BE/BTech/ME/MTech/M.S. in Computer Science Engineering or a related field;
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in delivering quality software in a collaborative environment;
• Experience maintaining a high bar for code quality, testing and automation while finding opportunities to continuously make improvements;
• Ability to write business and technical specification documents that convey complex analysis and solutions clearly and concisely;
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret complex business processes and systems.
