Skilled Construction Labor – Concrete, Grading, Traffic Control (Civil/Commercial)

Responsibilities: • Review jobsite needs with Foreman and Superintendents to fully comprehend scopes of work per plans and specifications to complete job assignment. • Perform hands-on construction labor (concrete, grading, flagging, site prep) • Set up and maintain safe traffic control zones • Assist with job site setup, cleanup, and material handling • Follow safety standards, supervisor instructions, and daily plans • Support infrastructure and commercial projects from start to finish • Support for the form carpenters and for the concrete operation in general, , and masons involved in the installation of block and brickwork (ironworkers /rodbusters involved in installing reinforcing steel) a plus. • Assist carpenters in handling and setting door frames. This entails transporting the door frames from the storage area to the work areas and stacking the door frames where needed. • Assists other skilled trades with construction projects including new construction, renovations, and other project types by loading, unloading, and distributing materials as assigned. • Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used on commercial construction projects. • Cleans and maintains concrete and forming tools. • Assists in dismantling and transporting of construction materials. • Operates pumps and equipment for site dewatering needs. • Organizes and cleans conex containers and gang boxes daily. • May assist with construction gate duty and flagging responsibilities. • Responsible for accurate material identification and usage of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS). • Responsible for operating a buck hoist safely and effectively/assists with demo operations. Responsible for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) compliance and following OSHA standards. • Skills & Qualifications: • Ability to perform work accurately and completely, and in a timely manner. • Effective communication skills, verbal and written. • Ability to identify common construction materials and equipment. • Must be able to take initiative and ask questions. • Possess a keen attention to detail and be able to follow instructions. • 1–3 years experience in construction (civil, DOT, or commercial) • Workers must provide their own safety footwear. • Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with co-workers and stakeholders. • Strong mathematical reasoning and quantitative skills. • Transportation, punctual attendance, and reliability. • Ability to follow directions and demonstrates a willingness to learn. • Ability to complete assigned duties with minimal guidance from supervisor. • Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team, both internally and externally. • High School Diploma or GED (Preferred). • In lieu of the above requirements, equivalent relevant experience will be considered. • Experienced in construction layout, blueprint reading and shop drawing reading. • Salary based on based on role, experience, and classification. • OSHA 10 or 30 Certification • Flagger or Traffic Control Certification (ATSSA or state DOT) • Experience with DOT, Caltrans, or public works projects • Small equipment operator training (e.g., skid steer, compactor) * Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00 - $45.00 per hour Work Location: In person
