Chewy is seeking a detail-oriented Slotting Specialist to join our team in Houston, TX! This role is perfect for someone with expertise in inventory management and slotting within an e-commerce environment. What You’ll Do

  • Use data-driven insights to improve efficiency by slotting and reslotting inventory to balance pick modules, zones, and levels, maximizing throughput.
  • Perform daily slotting tasks to ensure items are accurately classified and positioned before arriving at the Fulfillment Center.
  • Monitor site-level compliance with established slotting, consolidation, and capacity programs across Chewy’s network.
  • Support facility leaders with capacity planning and provide clear, actionable updates on progress.
  • Resolve bin-related issues and maintain detailed records of floor bin configurations, including maps.
  • Partner with Inbound, Inventory Control (IC), and WMS leadership teams to optimize bin configurations and inventory movement.
  • Develop prioritized worklists for consolidation teams to streamline daily operations.
  • Lead cross-functional projects to consolidate and reconfigure inventory locations.
  • Collaborate with IC/QA teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and investigate root causes of defects.

  • Proven experience in inventory management and slotting in an e-commerce or fulfillment center environment (experience with pick modules is a plus).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; SQL experience is a strong advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for creating efficient solutions.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, working both independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred but not required.
