Software Developer

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Develop robust front-end user interfaces that integrate seamlessly with back-end services, including conceptualizing, designing, and implementing innovative UI features.
• Conduct thorough testing of the front-end components to ensure they work as expected with the back-end systems, following rigorous testing methodologies to ensure high-quality software solutions.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including other developers, infrastructure teams, DevOps, and performance test engineers, to ensure the delivery of comprehensive software solutions that meet or exceed requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and support to other team members in front-end development practices, staying updated with the latest trends and technologies in web development to drive innovation within the team.
• Optimize front-end components for maximum speed and scalability, collaborating with backend developers to ensure efficient front-end to back-end integration.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: 

• Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
• Candidates must have lived in the United States 3 out of the past 5 years
• Advanced proficiency in Angular and/or Vue.js, with a solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create dynamic and responsive web interfaces.
• Experience in developing front-ends that interact seamlessly with backend services, with knowledge of Node.js for server-side logic and backend integration.
• Knowledge of the following Java, Scala, Relational Database Management System (RDBMS), JAVA API for RESTful Web Services (JAX-RS)
• Strong grasp of software engineering principles, including design patterns, code structure, and testing methodologies.
• Experience in implementing testing frameworks and conducting front-end tests to ensure the application’s reliability and usability.
• Knowledge of cloud services, preferably Amazon Web Services (AWS), to deploy and manage applications.
• Completed Background Investigation in accordance with Section 8.3 of your Subcontract Agreement prior to start of work.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment, ensuring clear communication and cohesive project advancement.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address challenges and come up with efficient solutions.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment processes.
• Skills in optimizing front-end components for speed and efficiency, and knowledge of best practices in web performance tuning.
• The ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and frameworks that could enhance the development process or product quality.

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-4 years of experience as software developer with working experience in various programming languages.
