Your Role and Responsibilities
As a senior software developer in the Cloud-based IBM Db2 Data Gate and IBM Db2 Analytics Accelerator team you you will be a key contributor in shaping the future of the product. You will drive the design implementation and testing of complex features that address the evolving needs of our clients. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Client Success to proactively identify and resolve customer issues and contribute to strategic enhancements that drive customer value.

You are developing delivering and operating an industry-leading cloud-based data replication product. You are working with cutting-edge Open-Source and cloud technologies. You will have the opportunity to develop operate and drive a technology that seamlessly integrates Mainframe IBM Z data in Cloud applications in a most efficient and performant way.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Minimum of 10 years of relevant software development experience with a strong track record in leading and delivering complex projects.
• Proven experience in leading technical teams mentoring developers and driving technical innovation.
• Advanced programming skills in C/C++ Java SQL with a continuous desire to learn and adopt new technologies.
• Deep understanding of RDBMS concepts SQL databases and experience with Db2 for z/OS or similar enterprise-level database systems.
• Deep knowledge in cloud architectures cloud concepts and cloud operations
• Hands-on experience with Linux and containerization technologies such as Docker or Podman
• Hands-on experience with container orchestration tools preferably Red Hat® OpenShift® Container Platform or Kubernetes
• Hands-on experience with IBM Cloud® AWS Azure or Private Cloud deployments
• Profound knowledge of networking and storage technologies as well as security concepts in Cloud environments
• Fluency in at least one object-oriented and scripting programming language
• Practical experience in agile software development in distributed teams
• Broad and proven know-how in database architecture and technology
• Strong communication skills
• Proven innovation mindset

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Experiences in CI/CD pipeline automations and Dev/Ops practices
• Experiences with software performance measurements and tuning
• Experience in data replication technologies like Apache Kafka and open data formats such as Apache Iceberg
• Experiences in web-based front-end development with HTML JS React
