Job Description

What is the opportunity?

As a Software Developer focused on .NET programming you partner across IT and with assigned business lines to assess, research, and analyze business, technical and system needs in order to resolve business systems issues. You will have the opportunity to help shape the new code management and work flow that is currently being implemented.

What will you do?

• Develop, code, document and execute unit test, system, integration and acceptance test using different languages and testing tools for functions of high complexity.
• Contributes to successful project completion by identifying risks and developing/recommending mitigation strategies.
• Provides input and co-ordinates with DBA in creating new and modifying existing database structures using different types of databases and recommending appropriate DB based on required functionality across multiple systems.
• Develops detailed plans and accurate estimates for the design, build, implement and stabilize phases of the project.
• Continually enhances skills and builds knowledge in all aspects of the organization, the business and information systems.
• Develops criteria for and participates in the evaluation of 3rd party vendors and software as well as due diligence exercises.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

• High School diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Experience with C# / .NET programming, Entity Framework, MVC
• Able to write database queries and stored procedures using MS SQL
• Knowledgeable in using GitHub and Visual Studios
• Proficient in front end web development

Nice-to-have

• Web Services experience
• Basic understanding of Network architecture
