As a software developer on the IBM Verify Identity Access Digital Credentials team you will collaborate with experienced engineers to design build and maintain one of IBM’s hybrid/SaaS offerings in the rapidly evolving space of verifiable digital credentials. This role is ideal for professionals with 1-3 years of experience who are eager to strengthen their technical expertise and work on innovative solutions that enhance trust and security in digital identity ecosystems.

- Partner with senior engineers to design and implement strategic features for IBM’s Digital Credentials offering.
- Develop and maintain software components using modern programming languages and frameworks.
- Ensure reliability and security through rigorous testing and quality assurance practices.
- Produce clear concise documentation to support usability and knowledge sharing.
- Contribute to continuous integration/continuous delivery pipelines to deliver secure high-quality updates into production.
- 1–3 years of experience in software development within an Agile environment.
- Proficiency in TypeScript and/or Java.
- Familiarity with the software development lifecycle and version control tools.
- Basic understanding of digital credentials verifiable credentials or decentralized identity standards.
- Basic understanding of SSO and authentication technology.
- Experience with additional languages such as JavaScript Python Go or Node.js.
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services.
- Familiarity with tools like Git GitHub and Jira.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a growth mindset toward learning new technologies.
