Responsibilities

Hexagon's Asset Lifecycle Intelligence division (Hexagon) is seeking to hire a highly motivated and experienced individual for a Senior Software Developer position, to work on our Structural analysis solution.

  • Actively contribute to a development team or project, maintaining the quality of technical deliverables.
  • Participate in end-to-end development life cycle including requirements analysis and design through verification using automated tests.
  • Analyze code to find causes of errors and revise programs as needed.
  • Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements.
  • Will have the technical background to understand concepts of static and dynamics, structure analysis.
  • Will understand, implement, test the requirements of technical codes and standards.
  • Will prioritize and participate in various projects while working independently and operating with good communication and interpersonal skills.

You will be working in a Scrum team environment with a talented group of professional software developers and engineers. You will be expected to work collaboratively with your team members, your manager, and your product owner. Interaction with members of the quality assurance, support, and documentation groups is also occasionally required. A proven ability to mentor younger developers is highly desirable. Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural/Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, or applicable related technical discipline.
  • 3+ years of engineering/software development experience.
  • Programming experience in C++ and/or .NET core framework (C#).
  • Have an eye for detail, and passion for developing high quality and robust solutions.
  • Familiarity with the Scrum development process and working in a team environment.
  • A passion for learning new technologies and a desire for personal growth through self-study, formal classes, or on-the-job training.
  • Must have good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, be a team player, self-driven, and proactive.

Preferred

  • Master's Degree in Civil/Structural/Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, or applicable related technical discipline.
  • Numerical Analysis experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with technical codes and standards such as AISC and ASCE.
  • Experience working in software development conforming to quality standards such as ISO 9001, ASME NQA-1 or equivalent.
  • Experience with Object Orientated Design/Programming and Data Structures.
  • Familiarity with Fortran.
  • Preferred locations include Houston, TX; Atlanta, GA; Huntsville, AL
