Title: Software Development Engineer
Duties: The Software Development Engineer at Commerce Fabric, Inc. in Seattle, WA will work on building Fabric’s next-generation commerce platform. This role will be expected to provide eCommerce and relevant technological expertise to conceive, build, and uphold online, customer-centric eCommerce solutions. This role will partner with Product, Engineering, and Design teams, and demonstrate the ability to influence without authority. Design and develop high-performance scalable data-centric serverless microservices. Estimate engineering effort, plan implementation, and roll out applications with cross-functional impact. Own continuous improvement and fine tuning of API performance, scalability and security. Independently design, code, and test major features, as well as work jointly with other team members to deliver complex changes. A key aspect of this role is interfacing with business units, online business courses like economics/business analytics would be a plus. This position is 100% remote but must be located in one of the following locations: Seattle, WA, San Francisco Bay Area, CA, New York, NY, Austin, TX or Boston, MA. Salary: $182,312 - $220,000 per year.Â
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a directly related field, plus 6 years of professional software development experience in the domain of commerce technology and building systems at an enterprise scale. Experience must include 4 years of experience with each of the following: (1) backend development using Java, JavaScript, or NodeJS; (2) backend development using JSON, REST, Micro services, and NoSQL; (3) developing large-scale, consumer-facing micro-services solutions; (4) defining and implementing software development methodologies; (5) communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Must also have two years of experience with each of the following: (6) domain in Pricing or Product or Orders; (7) AWS systems; and (8) Dynamo, RDS, E(C/K)*, containers, or other AWS primitives.
