Siemens Digital Industries Software in Belgium is seeking a Software Development Manager with 10+ years of experience in commercial software development, specifically in the area of computational fluid dynamics. Your role will involve managing the development of electronics cooling and heat transfer simulation software within a globally distributed team. You will be responsible for supporting the existing FLOEFD solver technology, working on interoperability with the STAR-CCM+ solver, supporting build and testing infrastructure.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

• Several experience in software development for CFD/Multiphysics.
• Experience with fluid dynamics and heat transfer simulation using FLOEFD
• Knowledge of STAR-CCM+
• Experience with state-of-the-art model and results exchange formats commonly used by CFD solvers (CGNS, SCD5, etc.)
• Experience with heat transfer simulation on different mesh types (cartesian, hex dominant, etc. ).
• Experience with supporting a home-grown CI infrastructure
• Experience in the Product & Solutions Security Expert role.
• Experience with shared memory parallelization, building efficient and scalable algorithms for SMP.
• Knowledge of C++17 language
• Expirience with git
• Experience with build tools (cmake, msbuild)
• scripting languages (python, perl, bash, nix-shell etc.)
• Implement requests coming from both product management and internal initiatives.
• Use best-practices in software development to create high quality, object-oriented software using the C++ programming language.
• Knowledge of Windows and Linux platforms.
• Experience with CAD software (NX, CREO, SolidWorks, CATIA V5).
• Good English verbal and written communication skills.
