We are looking for a candidate that is at ease working in an agile environment and embodies a passion for continuous improvement and test-driven development. This is a 100% remote position within the continental US working with our Norfolk, VA-based team.

Position Responsibilities:

• Develops software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, and studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes.
• Investigates problem areas.
• Follows the software development lifecycle - Agile Methodologies.
• Design, build and develop Java, Spring, Kafka, and Python Applications
• Work and collaborate with Tech Operations for the intersection of automation testing and CI/CD Gates
• Participate in code reviews and offer suggestions and guidance.
• Collaborate across internal business teams and cross-functional stakeholders
• Actively coordinate efforts with other internal development teams
• Highly motivated and have a passion for creating and supporting great products

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• Experience developing scalable, enterprise-level applications using open source development libraries
• 1- 2 years of development experience including the ability to write expert-level, maintainable, and robust code using Java/SpringBoot, Junit, Javascript
• Familiarity with microservices architectures and orchestration patterns
• Experience with relational database(postgres)
• Experience consuming RESTful Services or integrations to 3rd party API's
• 1-2 years using source control. (GIT preferred)
• Comfortable with CI/CD pipelines using tools like JenkinsFamiliarity with Docker and deploying to Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Ability to write effective technical documentation, such as tutorials and API call specs
• Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies
• Familiarity with HTML and CSS, as well as one or more of the following: JavaScript, ReactJs, or similar technologies.

Good To Have

• Experience in Python
• Experience working with Twilio
• Experience working on streaming data applications (e.g. Kafka)
• Experience in ReactJs and Front end Javascript
