We are seeking enterprising full stack software engineers with experience developing web and/or android applications. The ideal candidate enjoys development as their side hobby, exploring new web frameworks and languages, and is fastidious about their code. Using and/or contributing to open-source projects is big plus as well as experience with unit testing code, continuous integration and test-driven development. This position is based at Sony Electronics U.S. Headquarters, located in San Diego, CA. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain high-quality web services and applications. • Build scalable, high-throughput, low-latency cloud solutions. • Write unit tests as part of the development process. • Design APIs using RESTful and gRPC patterns. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions. Qualifications: • Proficiency in one or more programming languages: Golang, Python, Typescript, Rust, or Javascript • Experience writing unit tests as part of the development process • Familiarity with defining and validating data types using JSON Schema or Protocol Buffers (protobuf) • Solid understanding of RESTful and/or gRPC design patterns • Experience building cloud solutions for high throughput and low latency. • Strong understanding of client-server architecture and web services. • Familiarity with serverless architectures and AWS Preferred Qualifications: • Experience contributing to open-source projects. • Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, or AWS CDK. • Exposure to AI/ML models or training frameworks.
