Bold is seeking a Software Engineer to deliver on high impact initiatives and build web and mobile features so that we can meaningfully engage with our members.Â
To help us achieve our mission, we are looking to hire a Software Engineer who has experience building consumer products, is eager to grow, and envisions a world where every aging adult has access to personalized, easy-to-follow online workouts. This is a full time role located in LA and will report to our Senior Software Engineer.
As a key member of our Engineering team, here’s what you’ll do:
Key Outcomes:Â
- Build web and mobile features that allow us to meaningfully engage with our members
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and other internal stakeholders to quickly deliver high-impact initiatives, such as increased personalization for our consumer programs
- Work closely with others in Engineering to build and maintain platform improvements to accelerate impact & scalability while maintaining reliability
- Thoughtfully consider Bold’s demographic while increasing human touchpoints during the members journey
The most important skills for the role are*:
- 2+ years of experience building modern web applications and have experience with Node, Javascript (ES6+) and React
Growth Mindset: Exposure building consumer products and eagerness to grow and develop their skill set
- Communication: Comfortable sharing and receiving feedback while communicating technical decisions to internal stakeholdersÂ
- Empathy: Cares about our older adult members. We want everyone on our team to learn from our members’ challenges and needs, and use that to tailor our product and development roadmap
In addition to the above, it would be great if you also had:Â
- Experience in a fast paced startup environment
- Experience working with healthcare data (HIPAA)

Compensation:Â
We’re committed to an inclusive, consistent, and equitable approach to compensation and anticipate that this position will earn between $120-150k base salary annually. The exact salary will depend on the amount of relevant and transferable experience you bring to the role. You will also receive meaningful equity in the form of a stock option grant.
