Where and how you can work

Our flagship campus is in Sydney. We also have a campus in Melbourne and co-working spaces in Brisbane Perth and Adelaide. But you have choice in where and how you work. That means if you want to do your thing in the office (if you're near one) at home or a bit of both it's up to you.

What you’d be doing in this role

As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start but this will likely evolve.

• Contributing to the design and development of next-generation Analytics Platform features making data insights accessible and scalable for all Canva teams.

• Developing APIs and developer tools that transform how Canvanauts interact with analyse and visualise data.

• Driving continuous improvement of our CI/CD pipelines and SRE practices to streamline deployment and enhance the reliability of analytics tools and infrastructure.

• Prototyping and shipping innovative AI-driven features such as chatbots or intelligent search to help push Canva to the forefront of data enablement.

• Collaborating across cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact technically challenging projects with excellence.

• Championing engineering best practices with a focus on performance scalability reliability and code quality.

You're probably a match if

• You’re a software engineer fluent in Python with strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes

• You have strong Computer Engineering / Science knowledge around fundamentals and first principles relating to concurrency multithreading data structures architecture and various design patterns

• You bring a strong background in building scalable platforms and solving complex software challenges

• You have experience working with AWS and have a good understanding of IaC CI/CD and SRE principles

• You’re passionate about exploring emerging AI/ML opportunities

• You communicate with clarity and influence and you’re eager to empower over 5000 Canvanauts to unlock the value of data

The Analytics Platform Team

This role is part of Infrastructure's Analytics Platform team which empowers every Canvanaut with efficient reliable self-service tools to generate discover and manage analytical insights. Supporting over 5000 Canvanauts we continuously improve the discoverability of data and insights business intelligence tools and advanced analytics/AI capabilities. We fuel data-driven decisions across Canva unlocking the full potential of data democratisation and amplifying impact at every level.
