Software Engineer, Visualizations L2

Duties: Responsible for design and implementation of REST APIS, GraphQL APIS and web applications that support vehicle testing, reporting and data visualization. Work with cross-functional teams to identify new features and capabilities for the software. Execute full software development lifecycle activities using primarily Python, Typescript, Javascript, Go, Vue and Terraform skills in Linux development environment using Lean-Agile methodologies. Design and Develop Serverless solutions in AWS primarily using API Gateway, Lambda, Step Functions, Dynamo and Appsync. Manage AWS infrastructure using Terraform and CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins. Containerize applications using Docker. Deploy applications to Kubernetes clusters and manage them using Kubernetes.

Requirements: Master’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related software engineering field with 2 years' experience in a related software engineering occupation with experience to include: Software programming and scripting languages and practices: Python, Typescript, Javascript; Modern web frameworks such as Vue JS and React; Modern application development using REST APIs, GraphQL APIS and Microservices; Containerization and virtualization (Docker, Kubernetes); developing cloud native solution or working with cloud providers such as AWS; Devops Mindset and Knowledge of CI/CD delivery concepts, automation and tools; SQL and NOSQL Databases Postgresql, Dynamo. In lieu of Master's + 2, will accept Bachelor's (in fields above) + 5 years' experience in a related software engineering occupation with experience to include: Software programming and scripting languages and practices: Python, Typescript, Javascript ; Modern web frameworks such as Vue JS and React; Modern application development using REST APIs, GraphQL APIS and Microservices; Containerization and virtualization (Docker, Kubernetes); developing cloud native solution or working with cloud providers such as AWS; Devops Mindset and Knowledge of CI/CD delivery concepts, automation and tools; SQL and NOSQL Databases Postgresql, Dynamo.

Position located in Blacksburg, VA but eligible to work from anywhere in the U.S.
