THE ROLE: 

Vivian Health is searching for an Engineering Manager to lead our customer integrations and infrastructure engineering teams.

What you will be doing:

• Leading ~6 - 10 individual contributing engineers.
• Building a productive software team that delivers software on time with minimal defects (i.e. you are successful if your team is successful)
• Understanding healthcare professionals’ job search and employers’ hiring process
• Defining success for the team as well as individuals on the team in concert with a product manager and tech lead
• Coordinating technical delivery with business objectives by guiding the team roadmap
• Partnering with a product manager and tech lead to decide on deliver the team roadmap
• Contributing to engineering culture from onboarding, to hiring, to mentoring
• Continuing to improve existing systems and ensure space is made to address technical debt

THE STACK:

We use React (web) / React Native (ios / android), NodeJS / Express (api server), npm / webpack / babel (packaging), Postgres / Sequelize (core data), AWS SQS (task queues), and Algolia (indexed data). Our code is deployed on Heroku and is mostly written in JavaScript though we use some Python. We strive to choose the right tool for the job & welcome new ideas.

THE SALARY, BENEFITS & PERKS:

The range for this position is $140,000 - $185,000 yearly salary, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This range is based on a full-time schedule. At Vivian Health, we offer a competitive compensation package, with benefits including:
