Software Lead

Gridware's mission is to create a future where power outages and electric grid hazards (think wildfire ignition) are a thing of the past. We provide a truly full-stack (hardware + firmware + software) solution for real-time monitoring of America's power distribution grid. The system centers around low-cost hardware platforms that are easily and permanently deployed to power poles. The platform detects and predicts physical fault phenomena, expedites repairs during power outages, and helps utilities demonstrate risk reduction to regulators through comprehensive asset health profiles.

We're looking for an experienced Software leader to join our team in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the architecture and implementation of scalable applications to support concurrent command & control of millions of end-devices
• Manage the day-to-day and growth of a high-performing software team
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders and product designers to redefine what software can be for critical infrastructure operators
• Thrive in a tightly-integrated, lightning-paced team of high-energy and deeply committed individuals

Requirements

• B.S. in Computer Science
• 4+ years of hands-on backend or full-stack software engineering experience
• 4+ years of software engineering management or tech lead experience
• Deep familiarity with modern production web application development, cloud infrastructure, and API design standards

Compensation

Gridware determines pay ranges by utilizing a wide variety of open and closed source compensation datasets. Base salary offered to candidates are typically determined by a range of factors including experience, credentials, job-related skill level, scope of responsibilities, and role level.

The base salary for this position is $150,000-$250,000 USD
