Software Test Engineer

CSI – a customized hardware/software engineering company headquartered in Richardson, TX– is looking for a Software Test Engineer. The ideal candidate would be a self-starter with excellent communication and problem-solving skills to collaborate with other engineers, customers, and end-users to translate requirements into detailed test plans and test cases for functional and regression test execution. They will define expectations for all testing tasks and assist in the definition of test environments and fixtures required for successful test execution. Design support is continuous from requirements definition through integration, test, and installation support; maintenance of test documentation and configuration management is required throughout the product lifecycle. The selected candidate will be subject to government security investigations and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES • Execute system level test procedures • Ensure tests and procedures meet program requirements and company standards • Prepare test reports • Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement processes • Prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish scheduled milestones across multiple projects • Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and retain a DoD Top Secret security clearance PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering and/or related experience • 1+ years troubleshooting experience • Experience in a Software or Hardware Test Engineering role • Experience with Gitlab issue tracker or similar • Experience with Jama test/requirements software tool or similar • Experience with Virtualization (ESXi, Hyper-V, etc.) • Experience with configuring/troubleshooting desktop OSs (Windows/Linux, preferably both) • Experience with STIGs • Experience with configuring networks and switches • Current Secret or Top-Secret Security Clearance ABILITY TO • Manage multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines • Work independently as well as part of a team • Be adaptive and proactive • Show initiative by seeking ways to improve processes and data analysis If you are passionate about designing mission system solutions and eager to contribute to innovative aerospace projects, we encourage you to apply for the position of Software Test Engineer at Crescent Systems, Inc.
