The Team:

Corporate Systems, in the Global Technology Organization (GTO), manages the overall performance and global delivery of projects covering the Finance, Accounting, Financial Reporting, and Human Resources portfolios. This team is the main liaison between our business partners and our IT support and development teams. We ensure application stability through our outsourced production support vendor and deliver technology capabilities that transform our business operations in partnership with Finance and HR globally.

Job Description

The Opportunity: 

Mattel has leveraged the Workday HCM platform to enable our HR department to fulfill their strategy of modernizing Mattel employees’ end to end HR experience. The US Payroll is being processed in PeopleSoft, including all Time and Labor setup, while UKG (formally Kronos) timeclocks provide the raw punch data to PeopleSoft. Other Mattel locations across the globe are using various other applications to process their payroll and track time. Mattel is currently evaluating the payroll and time processes globally to determine the best path for the future. The goal is to determine where consolidation may be conducive to streamline the flow of data while increasing efficiencies across the globe.

Mattel is currently seeking a PeopleSoft HCM Staff Systems (Integrations and Reporting) Analyst to help our HR Business Partners further leverage the existing PeopleSoft Time and Labor rules/setup. This role reports into El Segundo but can be remote. This role will be a member of a dynamic team focused on the enhancement/sustainment of the existing PeopleSoft Payroll process / T&L rules. This role will help lead and execute follow-on projects and rollouts to any future Payroll / T&L applications. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to work with cross-functional, multi-project teams to ensure integrations, reporting, and IT-related solutions are delivered on-time and on budget in accordance with the defined scope, timeline, and budget. The PeopleSoft HCM Staff Systems Analyst is also responsible for planning, scheduling, developing, and controlling all integration and report-related project activities toward these objectives, applying PeopleSoft knowledge, technical, theoretical and managerial skills to satisfy project requirements, while building positive professional relationships with stakeholders, vendors and project team members.

What Your Impact Will Be: 

  • Deliver Integration and Reporting utilizing the PeopleSoft PeopleTools framework.
  • Establishing alignment to integration standards and the correct selection of technologies
  • Developing integration requirements robust enough to ensure the end product meets the original business requirement.
  • Engaging with 3rd parties as appropriate
  • Engaging other support teams as required to deliver new or changed integrations.
  • Making recommendations to support continued service improvements.
  • Leading critical issue management and resolutions with appropriate teams.
  • Report status and escalate issues/risks to GTO leadership.
  • Work with internal teams and vendors to document project scope, develop estimates and schedules and track schedules for various enhancements and technology initiatives for HR.
  • Be a point of escalation for issue resolution and risk mitigation for the payroll group, supporting the PeopleSoft application, including management and overseeing of production support issues.
  • Be the main liaison between the payroll organization and various departments in IT, supporting projects and critical business activities, such as regular payroll processing as well as yearend processing.
  • Will work with internal customers and external consultants, supporting project and operational tasks, as they relate to the PeopleSoft system, such as integrations, reporting, managing the production support resources, and supporting the HRIS resources with PeopleSoft-related activities and tasks.
  • Understands business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommends solutions to enable the HR organization to achieve their goals.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline. Postgraduate or MBA preferred but not required.
  • 7+ years’ experience in HCM/HR platforms with at least 5+ years’ experience in PeopleSoft.
  • PeopleSoft Payroll and/or Time and Labor experience required.
  • PeopleSoft Certification preferred but not required.
  • PeopleSoft functional and configuration experience is preferred but not required.
  • BIRT Reporting Technologies is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills to help address and resolve business issues for the payroll organization.
  • Strong teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with PeopleSoft application support on a global level.
  • Ability to act to resolve issue preventing the team from working effectively.
  • Ability to exhibit PeopleSoft functional/technical capabilities and PeopleSoft PeopleTools experience.
  • Exhibit technical integration experience with 3rd parties.
  • Ability to work in a global/virtual team.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of users and be able to effectively lead and facilitate requirements or project status meetings.
  • Work with existing support teams to manage issues and develop enhancement opportunities.
  • Work with multiple departments to document and validate current and future state business and technical requirements.
  • Lead System testing and coordinate production implementations

The annual base salary range for this position is between $125,000 and $140,000
**This range is indicative of projected hiring range, however annual base salary will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills and experience.
