ABOUT THE ROLE TheSolutions Architectprovides strategic technical leadership and architectural design for a portfolio of enterprise web properties supporting the travel services sector, specifically for a client program with American Express and their Travel & Lifestyle Services Division. This hybrid role includes remote work with part-time on-site collaboration at the client’s office in Phoenix (Desert Ridge). The successful candidate will partner with agency and client teams, lead distributed development teams, and ensure technical excellence in data integration, performance optimization, and scalable architecture. RESPONSIBILITIES Technical Leadership & Architecture • Designs and architects scalable, high-performing web applications using .NET MVC and .NET Core for our client’s enterprise environment. • Provides technical direction and mentorship to distributed agency development teams working closely with client stakeholders (offshore and onshore). • Leads architecture decisions and establishes standards across web properties in alignment with client goals and industry best practices. • Advocates for modern software development, security, and performance optimization methods within agency and client teams. Data Architecture & Integration • Develops comprehensive data integration strategies to connect multiple web properties for our Fortune 500 client. • Architects' data structures and databases focused on performance and scalability for client needs. • Oversees SQL Server database design, optimization, and maintenance strategies in collaboration with client technical teams. • Maintains and enforces data governance standards and integration patterns. Cloud Platform & Infrastructure • Leads agency efforts in implementing and optimizing Microsoft Azure technologies for the client. • Designs and manages Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS) deployments for containerized applications within the client’s ecosystem. • Champions cloud-native solutions for scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness on behalf of the client. • Establishes and manages DevOps and CI/CD practices in Azure for agency and client projects. Performance & Monitoring • Implements real-time performance monitoring and analytics frameworks for client-facing web properties. • Designs application usage and performance dashboards to provide visibility for both agency and client stakeholders. • Creates and maintains benchmarks and optimization strategies tailored to client priorities. Security & Compliance • Ensures security standards are applied across client web properties, working with agency and client security teams. • Designs secure data integration patterns and maintains compliance with client and industry regulations. • Conducts security architecture reviews and risk assessments in partnership with client representatives. QUALIFICATIONS • 8–10 years of solution architecture experience in enterprise environments • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred. • Proven track record leading distributed teams (offshore/onshore), with successful engagements for Fortune 500 or large organizations. • Microsoft Azure certifications (Solutions Architect Expert, DevOps Engineer Expert). • Experience with microservices, containerization, modern web development frameworks, and portfolio management of large web ecosystems. • Familiarity with data visualization and BI tools.
