Position Summary
Leads the Food & Beverage program, including menu development, production standards,
staffing, budgeting, sanitation, vendor management, and resident satisfaction.
Essential Job Functions
• Develop and implement a professional, upscale F&B program that elevates resident and
guest experience.
• Plan/produce menu cycles compliant with nutrition/dietary criteria and prescribed diets;
maintain direct cooking presence as needed.
• Recruit, train, schedule, and develop culinary staff; maintain uniforms and
professionalism; ensure adherence to quality, appearance, temperature, and presentation
standards.
• Meet/exceed budget and labor guidelines; maintain records; assist with departmental
budget preparation.
• Engage approved vendors and purveyors; ensure equipment maintenance and sanitation
standards.
• Visit residents for feedback; adjust operations to promote continuous improvement.

Education
• High school diploma or equivalent; culinary degree preferred.
Experience
• Minimum five (5) years as sous chef in hospitality; minimum three (3) years
managing foodservice systems; senior living experience preferred.
Knowledge/Skills
• Menu planning; production; sanitation; marketing and financial acumen; leadership and
conflict resolution; resident‐focused service.
• State‐required food safety certification/license.
• Comfort using Gardens Care’s approved systems is required: Google Workspace (Docs,
Sheets, Drive, Gmail, Calendar, Meet), ECP (care management), Sagely (life enrichment/
activity documentation), and ADP (timekeeping, payroll, scheduling).
Special Requirements
• Medical clearance per policy.
Tools & Equipment
• Computer; standard office devices; major/minor kitchen equipment.
Physical Activities
• Lift/carry up to 50 lbs. occasionally; push/pull up to 50 lbs.; climb/reach/bend/twist
occasionally; sit 2–6 hrs; stand/walk 6–2 hrs per 8‐hr day; frequent food handling.
Physical Requirements
• Medium work — 50/20/10 lbs. as defined.
Visual Requirements
• Clerical/administrative tasks including computer work.
Work Environment
• Kitchen environment with heat and typical hazards; indoor/outdoor as needed.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
