Company Overview Mia’s New Baja Mediterranean concept opening in the heart of Solana beach. Summary We are seeking a talented Sous Chef to join our culinary team. In this role, you will assist in managing kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation while contributing to our mission of delivering exceptional dining experiences. Responsibilities β€’ Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations and staff. β€’ Ensure food quality and presentation meet our standards. β€’ Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain consistency. β€’ Train and mentor kitchen staff in culinary techniques and food safety practices. β€’ Manage inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. β€’ Collaborate with the team to develop seasonal menu items that reflect local flavors. β€’ Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area. Requirements β€’ Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a fine dining environment. β€’ Strong knowledge of food handling, safety regulations, and culinary techniques. β€’ Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. β€’ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards.
