Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Italian food production and kitchen management, with experience in fine dining and catering environments. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen working the line overseeing food preparation, and ensuring the highest quality of dishes served to our guests. This position requires exceptional leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
Duties
• Assist the Head Chef in team work and prepping and cooking
• Supervise kitchen and work and prepping
• Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain high standards of quality and presentation.
• Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling practices.
• Coordinate banquet services and catering events as needed.
• Train new kitchen staff on procedures, safety protocols, and cooking techniques.
• Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during meal periods.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area at all times.
Qualifications
• Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar culinary role within the food industry.
• Strong leadership skills with experience in team management and shift management.
• Knowledge of dietary department operations and food service management principles.
• Familiarity with inventory management practices and food production techniques.
• Excellent cooking skills with a focus on fine dining cuisine.
• Ability to plan menus that cater to diverse dietary needs while maintaining quality standards.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and guests.
• Commitment to upholding food safety standards and best practices in the kitchen.
• Previous experience in restaurant management or hospitality is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $57,774.66 - $69,578.09 per year
