Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service management and a deep understanding of the food industry. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in menu planning, inventory control, and supervising kitchen staff to ensure the highest quality of food preparation and presentation.
Responsibilities
• Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations and food preparation.
• Oversee inventory control, ensuring that all ingredients are fresh and properly stored.
• Collaborate in menu planning, offering creative ideas for new dishes and seasonal specials.
• Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow.
• Maintain high standards of food handling and hygiene practices in compliance with health regulations.
• Assist with catering events as needed, ensuring timely delivery of quality food.
• Train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety procedures.
• Monitor food quality and presentation before serving to guests.
Qualifications
• Proven experience in a similar role within the restaurant or catering industry.
• Strong knowledge of food service management principles and practices.
• Experience with inventory control processes and systems.
• Excellent skills in menu planning and recipe development.
• Ability to supervise and motivate a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with food handling regulations and safety standards.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $48,915.98 - $65,000.00 per year
