Job Summary We are seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team. Bilingual Spanish a plus! The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong background in kitchen management, food preparation, and casual dining. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food production, and maintaining exceptional standards of food safety and hygiene. Duties β€’ Assist the Head Chef in menu ensuring that all dishes meet our quality standards. β€’ Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to ensure efficient food preparation and service. β€’ Oversee daily kitchen operations, including inventory management, food handling, and shift management. β€’ Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. β€’ Manage food production processes to ensure timely delivery of meals during service periods. β€’ Collaborate with the catering team for special events and banquets, ensuring that all culinary needs are met. β€’ Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed to maintain optimal stock levels. β€’ Foster a positive work environment through effective team management and leadership. Qualifications β€’ Proven experience as a Sous Chef. . β€’ Experience with menu planning, food service management, and dietary department operations is highly desirable. β€’ Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. β€’ Proficient in cooking techniques, food production methods, and kitchen management practices. β€’ Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for handling food products. β€’ Strong organizational skills with experience in inventory control and management. β€’ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
