Kitchen Manager – Job Description Position Title: Kitchen Manager Reports To: General Manager / Owner FLSA Status: Exempt / Non-Exempt (depending on pay structure) Position Summary: The Kitchen Manager oversees all kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, safety, cleanliness, staff management, and inventory control. This role is responsible for leading the kitchen team, maintaining high standards, and delivering consistent food service. Key Responsibilities: • Supervise and schedule kitchen staff, including cooks and dishwashers. • Ensure all food is prepared and served according to recipes and safety standards. • Train new staff and conduct regular performance evaluations. • Monitor inventory levels and order food, supplies, and equipment as needed. • Enforce health, safety, and sanitation regulations. • Collaborate with front-of-house staff and management for smooth operations. • Control food costs and minimize waste. • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization. • Assist in menu planning and development. Qualifications: • 2+ years of experience in a kitchen management or lead cook role. • Knowledge of food safety regulations (ServSafe certification preferred). • Strong leadership and communication skills. • Ability to manage time, multitask, and work in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Cook – Job Description Position Title: CookReports To: Kitchen Manager / Chef FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Position Summary: The Cook is responsible for preparing food items according to recipes and standards, ensuring quality, consistency, and presentation. They work as part of the kitchen team to deliver timely and delicious meals. Key Responsibilities: • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and portion sizes. • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation. • Follow proper food handling and safety procedures. • Ensure food is prepared in a timely and efficient manner. • Assist with food prep, stocking, and cleaning as needed. • Communicate effectively with kitchen team and front-of-house staff. • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. • Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation. Qualifications: • 1+ year of experience as a cook preferred. • Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen equipment. • Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately. • ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain). • Punctual, reliable, and able to work under pressure. • Team-oriented with good communication skills. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour Expected hours: 30 per week Ability to Commute: • Las Vegas, NV 89113 (Preferred) Ability to Relocate: • Las Vegas, NV 89113: Relocate before starting work (Preferred) Work Location: In person
