Sous Chef

Job Overview We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Alexxa's Restaurant overseeing the Las Vegas Strip. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and kitchen management, with a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. As a Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Executive Chef and Executive Chef to oversee kitchen operations, manage staff, and ensure the highest standards of food quality and presentation are accomplished each and every shift. This position is for our Dinner Service. Duties • Supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to food safety standards. • Oversee food preparation, cooking, and plating of dishes for service. • Train and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques and best practices. • Maintain inventory of kitchen supplies and assist in ordering as needed. • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including compliance with health regulations. • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to coordinate timely service during peak hours. • Participates in banquet events as required. Skills • Strong team management abilities to lead a diverse kitchen staff. • Proficient in various cooking techniques and food preparation methods. • Excellent hospitality skills to create a welcoming environment for guests and employees. • Experience in supervising kitchen operations and managing staff schedules. • Familiarity with banquet services and fine dining standards. • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
