Sous Chef/Manager

Compensation: • $48,000 - $57,000 Annually Fresa’s Chicken Al Carbon is an Austin Original, offering a modern take on the classic Mexican chicken al carbón. Our wood-grilled meals, complete with homemade tortillas, authentic salsas and traditional rice and beans, are both healthy and satisfying. Fresas is currently looking for a talented Sous Chef that is dedicated to consistency, and experienced in leading a culinary team. This is a unique concept that handles both high volume & full service catering. The Sous Chef works alongside The Executive Chef and team members in a contemporary style kitchen, ensuring that the highest standards of food qualities are met. Qualifications: • 1 year of experience as a sous chef • Experience with purchasing, and controlling labor. • Excellent communication skills • Demonstrating solid cooking technique and ability to manage high volume production • Experience with catering is a plus • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus Job Responsibilities: • Cultivating and leading a team of cooks • Organizing and maintaining a clean kitchen • Preparing Foods and adhering to Recipes Standards • Placing orders and writing prep lists • Management of Kitchen Assets • Working with the Head Chef on all aspects of BOH Fresa's Benefits: • 10 days Paid Time Off per year • Health, Vision, Dental & Life insurance with employer contribution of 50% • 50% off dining at Fresa's Chicken If you are interested please submit your resume.
