Special Education Itinerant Teacher (SEIT)

Special Education Itinerant Teacher (SEIT) Play an integral role in continuing the All My Children commitment of quality by servicing children and implementing an instructional plan based on evaluation findings of the child's outcomes as indicated on the child's IEP. Collaborate with families and service providers to support and share the educational needs of their children. Inspire each child's potential through innovation, inclusive environment and strong family partnerships with the support of a corporate team dedicated to help you manage your cases Minimum Qualifications • Required Master’s in Education. • Must be certified in New York State as an Early Childhood Education (Birth-2) and Students with Disabilities (Birth-2) Teacher or equivalent. Skills & Knowledge • Plan and provide therapy to 3 to 5 years old • Collaborate with the family and a multi-disciplinary team to develop goals and outcomes for children • Educate family members on different intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement • Maintain proper documentation to comply with state and city regulations • Conduct necessary evaluations and write comprehensive reports complying with district standards • Maintain progress reports and participate in meetings related to the child • Potential to create your own, flexible schedule At All My Children, we support our employees in their lives both at home and at work.
