Special Education Substitute Teacher

*Short and long-term substitute teaching assignments available in K-5 and 6th-12th grade campuses in San Antonio, Helotes, and Live Oak. The Special Education Substitute Teacher will: • Provide educational services to students with disabilities • Assist in planning, developing, delivering, and evaluating appropriate individualized educational services, learning programs, and instruction across the inclusion, resource, and LID instructional settings. REQUIREMENTS • Bachelor's degree • A valid, current Special Education Teaching Certification • 1 year of successful Special Education teaching experience in a K-12 school (preferred) Special Knowledge and Skills • Knowledge of curriculum, instruction • Special Education documentation/data collection • Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills • Knowledge of current Special Education practices and methodologies GREAT HEARTS Great Hearts Academies is a growing network of 49 public, open-enrollment, tuition-free schools in San Antonio (TX), Dallas/Ft.
