Special Education Teacher Responsibilities The responsibilities of theSpecial Education Teachermay include: • Teaching or co-teaching classes for students with diverse learning needs. • Managing resource room support to provide individualized and small-group instruction. • Serving as an IEP case manager, which includes developing, implementing, and monitoring student plans. • Collaborating with colleagues, administrators, and parents to support student success.
