Special Education Teacher

TX-STAR Speech Language Serviceshas been serving schools since 2010 and is currently partnered with over 40 school districts plus a multitude of agencies and regional cooperatives. Our staff are highly trained and experienced in educational environments, specifically special education roles. We are looking forCertifiedSpecial Education Teacherswho will be supporting our growing team in San Antonio. As a contract Special Education Teacher, you will provide specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs. We have some stellar schools in Texas that we are continuing andactively recruitingfor at the start of and all through each school year! RESPONSIBILITIES: • Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs. • Design and adapt instructional materials and methods to address the unique learning goals and needs of each student, ensuring accessibility and inclusion. • Provide direct instruction to students with disabilities, utilizing various teaching techniques and strategies to promote academic, social, and emotional growth. • Assess and monitor student progress regularly, employing appropriate assessment tools and techniques, and making necessary adjustments to instruction. • Utilize assistive technologies and resources to enhance student engagement and facilitate learning. REQUIREMENTS: • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field. • Master's degree is preferred. • Valid teaching certification in Special Education. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and other school staff.
