Special Education Teacher in Austin, TX

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This position offers an opportunity to provide specialized instruction and support for students with diverse learning needs in a K-12 setting. The role involves delivering both push-in and pull-out special education services to approximately 30 students in grades 6-12, ensuring individualized educational plans are effectively implemented. The schedule runs Monday through Friday, from 7:45 AM to 3:30 PM. Key Responsibilities: • Deliver targeted special education services within general education classrooms (push-in) and through individualized or small group instruction (pull-out). • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs. • Participate actively in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings to review student progress and update plans accordingly. • Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to foster an inclusive learning environment. • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation. Qualifications: • Hold a valid Texas Department of Education License with an EC-12 Special Education Endorsement. • Demonstrated experience and confidence in attending and contributing to ARD meetings. • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and educational teams. • Commitment to supporting students' academic and social growth through individualized instruction.
