Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available in Converse, TX, serving K-12 students in an Elementary Behavior Classroom setting. This contract role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' educational journeys while working within a supportive and resource-rich environment.
Responsibilities:
• Deliver individualized instruction and support tailored to students with diverse learning needs in a behavior-focused classroom.
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with families, support staff, and administration.
• Utilize evidence-based strategies to foster positive behavioral and academic outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate progress with stakeholders regularly.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address student needs and promote inclusion.
Qualifications:
• Valid Texas Special Education Teacher License.
• Experience teaching special education students, preferably in a behavior classroom setting.
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent communication, patience, and organizational skills.
Job Details:
• Location: Converse, TX
• Grade Levels: K-12
• Schedule: 35 hours per week, 5 days per week
• Contract Duration: Immediate start through 5/29/2026
