Job Description: • Openings in Elementary, Middle, and High School • Caseload and details of position/classroom type will differ based on school location • Contract through the school year – 37.5 to 40 hours per week • Contract follows the academic district calendar As a Special Education Teacher, you will: • Develop and implement engaging, effective lesson plans and special education programs tailored to students’ needs. • Adapt curriculum based on Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and diverse learning styles. • Maintain regular contact with parents, providing updates on progress and collaborating on strategies to support learning at home. • Create a well-organized, safe, and positive learning environment. • Implement strategies to manage behavior and ensure a productive classroom atmosphere. • Provide individualized and group instruction, utilizing specialized techniques for students with diverse needs. • Assess and track student progress, adjusting instruction as needed. • Modify curriculum and materials according to IEP goals. • Conduct evaluations and maintain accurate records of student progress. • Collaborate with educators and specialists to support student success. • Engage in professional development to stay current with best practices in special education. • Ensure compliance with special education regulations and complete necessary documentation. Requirements: • Bachelor’s Degree in relation to Special Education from an accredited college or university • Valid Texas Special Education Teaching Certification • 1 year of successful Special Education teaching experience in a K-12 school preferred • Knowledge of core academic subject assigned, curriculum, and ability to instruct students and manage their behavior • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills • Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations and policies affecting special education • Knowledge of current special education practices and methodologies Since 2002, AB Staffing Solutions, LLC, has placed Education, Nursing, Allied, and Locum Tenens Professionals at facilities across the country!
