Specialist IT Quality Engineering (SAP QA Test Lead)

Job Summary

This position is responsible for strategy, testing application architecture, quality assurance and test execution across the SAP platforms. The SAP QA Test Lead will be responsible for the development of the SAP test strategy utilizing market leading tools, industry best practices and innovative AI and automation technologies to deliver DevOps cycle time reduction and the highest quality of solution delivery across the SAP platforms.

The SAP QA Test Lead will be analyzing and understanding system and user requirements, oversee the development of automated scripts that test system functionality, and leading manual and exploratory tests as needed. The test lead will work closely with the SAP product owners and SAP transformation teams to govern and apply the SAP test strategy across a global multi-instance SAP landscape incorporating end to end testing across multiple boundary application and processes.

The position will be responsible for the authoring and development of advanced automated test scripts across all SAP applications and boundary systems validate performance, security, scalability, and elasticity within a complex global manufacturing organization. They frequently coach and mentor others on the team and are considered subject matter experts.

Quality engineers are deeply familiar with the software development life cycle (SDLC) from preliminary system analysis to tests and deployment. They know how to author high-quality test automation scripts for enterprise-grade end to end processes. They will perform Code Reviews for others.

Quality engineers will demonstrate and document solutions by using flowcharts, diagrams, code comments, code snippets, and performance instruments. They will visualize quality metrics so that the current state of application quality is easily known at any point.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop the SAP test strategy, approach and select the toolset for automated and manual regression test management for SAP and end to end testing.
• Utilize innovative and market leading AI and automation technologies to develop test scripts, reduce the DevOps cycle and drive effective impact analysis to deliver effective test management.
• Strong knowledge and experience of SAP testing application including Tosca, Panaya and solution manager.
• Develop test suites, test scripts, test plans, test frameworks, and test data across a product portfolio to ensure that solutions meet technical and functional performance requirements.
• Provide Code Reviews to others contributing to the test codebases.
• Drive and evangelize a DevOps approach that establishes a strong cybersecurity focus and culture across the entire engineering lifecycle
• Develop and execute agile work plans for iterative and incremental product delivery
• Help build reports that visualize test suite output and give an indication of system quality and health
• Evangelize an automated test culture across the organization
• Possess a vast knowledge of a wide range of technologies and programming languages. Maintain job knowledge by studying automated testing techniques and programming languages. Participate in educational opportunities and read professional publications.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited insitituion
• 10+ years of experience

Skills:

• Expert at utilizing best practices in testing strategy and test automation
• Advanced understanding of best practice SAP test applications including Tosca, Panaya and solution manager
• Extensive experience applying test automation to SAP applications and end to end processes across SAP and boundary applications
• Expert understanding of DevSecOps, CI, and CD principles from code check-in through to deployment
• experience with modern software development principles including code management, test automation, APIs, microservices, containers, and cloud services
• Advanced in Agile, Scrum, or Kanban
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills including the ability to explain and present technical concepts to a diverse set of audiences
• Comfortable working directly with both technical and non-technical audiences
• Good judgment, time management, and decision-making skills
• Ability to work colaboratively across multiple teams.
