Position Summary
We're working on innovative foods and formulas that rival healthcare, pharma, human food, and tech companies around the world-foods and formulas that can extend the lives and cognitive function in maturing dogs and cats. We're developing ways to improve the vision of cats and minimize pet allergies through quality nutrition. We were the first ever to extrude dry dog food and we're backed by a lengthy list of patents-a portfolio of industry firsts.
Over 500 scientists make everything we think about come to life. We're nutritionists, chemists, immunologists, microbiologists, veterinarians, and the alike. But, what we do stretches far beyond our titles. It's a dare we accepted from the very beginning - the dare to 'Stand Taller'.
As a Specialist IT User Support, you'll provide technical support to the St. Louis Product Technology Center (PTC). You'll also work withgroups and one-on-one application training and user documentation for all custom and vendor software.
- Support development of PC and hardware requirements for future year budgets
- Coordinate activities between users of 3rd party software and vendors to ensure effective software enhancements are implemented in a cost-effective manner
- Serve as backup network administrator responsible for managing users, systems security, file structures, installation of software, and printers on PCs and servers
- Rrder replacement PCs from third party vendors, install software applications as required, set-up the PCs, and provide training on the new equipment
- Ensures daily, weekly, and monthly system backup of the servers is performed
- Assists in maintaining IT Disaster Recovery Plan
- Maintains all local environment architectural documentation and diagrams
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution?
- 5 years of experience in computer operations
