Ready to kick-start your career with MSKCC? We're excited to invite you to our Hiring Day event! Are you passionate about providing a strong patient experience and possess investigative skills? We're looking for Patient Billing Specialists to join MSK's Patient Billing department. In this role, you'll serve as a main financial representative to our patients, proactively communicating MSK’s billing practices and insurance processing procedures.

Qualifications:

• Results-oriented, highly organized, and able to perform accurately under pressure.
• Skilled in professional, persuasive, and diplomatic communication to satisfy patients.
• Knowledgeable about third-party claims processing and reimbursement.

Responsibilities:

• Provide guidance to patients via various communication channels.
• Calculate the cost of care and resolve outstanding balances.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities
• At least one year of relevant healthcare experience.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service.

This is a hybrid role, must be able to report 2-3 days per week onsite to our NYC sites.

Hours: 8:00AM  -4:00 PM or 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (onsite) and 10:30 AM - 6:30 PM (remotely)

Pay Range: $27.80-$43.08

Training Schedule: 9am – 5pm over the course of 8 weeks.
