SPECIALTY PHARMACIST

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a background experience in Closed-door, Specialty-Pharmacy setting. As a Pharmacist, you will play a crucial role in patient care by ensuring the safe and effective use of medications, providing patient assessments to comply with accreditation, and collaborating with healthcare professionals. • Review and interpret physician orders to ensure appropriate medication therapy. • Prepare, dispense and assist administration of medications • Conduct patient assessments to evaluate medication efficacy and safety. • Provide patient education on medication administration, potential side effects, and health management. • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop individualized treatment plans. • Manage and purchase inventory effectively to ensure the availability of medications. • Maintain accurate records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ACHC Accreditation and pharmacy standards. • Assist to administer injections as required. • Utilize pharmacy software (PioneerRx) efficient workflow management. • Stay updated best practices in specialty pharmacy Skills • 2 year experience in retail and specialty pharmacy required. ACHC accreditation experience is highly desirable. • Completion of a pharmacy residency or equivalent clinical pharmacy experience preferred. • Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare providers. • Proficiency in medication administration techniques including specialty injectables and pain management protocols. • Knowledge of HIV, HIV Prep, Auto-immune disorders preferred • Familiarity with inventory management practices within a pharmacy setting. • Understanding of acute care environments and the ability to provide comprehensive patient care.
