Role Overview
Dreamgro, a division of Enchante Accessories Inc., is looking for aSpecification Technician (Spec Tech/Technical Designer)to support the development of ourInfant Apparel, Baby Clothing, and Plush Toysline. This role bridges design, product development, and production, ensuring that every garment and plush item is executed to spec, fit, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge ofgarment construction, patternmaking, and product development, along with the ability to collaborate across internal teams and global vendors. Experience withchildren’s wearandtoy developmentis highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
• Garment & Plush Specs:Create, update, and maintain detailed technical specs for both infant apparel, baby clothing, and plush toy categories.
• Sample Review:Evaluate fit, construction, and finishing of samples at all development stages; provide precise comments and corrections to factories.
• Tech Pack Development:Build and manage comprehensive tech packs including measurement charts, construction details, CADs, flats, and bill of materials.
• Factory Communication:Liaise directly with overseas vendors to relay corrections, ensure compliance, and follow up on approvals.
• Cross-Team Support:Partner with design, production, and sales teams to ensure sample readiness for line reviews, buyer meetings, and trade presentations.
• Testing & Compliance:Support product testing and safety compliance processes, includingCPSIA and ASTMrequirements for children’s products.
• Data & Tracking:Maintain accurate records of product specs, approvals, and changes using Excel, PLM, and internal systems.
Qualifications
• 1–3 years of experience intechnical design, specification, or product development(children’s apparel, infant apparel, and/or plush toys strongly preferred).
• Solid understanding ofgarment construction, patternmaking principles, and plush toy manufacturing methods.
• Proficiency inAdobe Illustrator & Photoshopfor CADs, flats, and callouts.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills for measurement charts, data entry, and tracking.
• Highly detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Clear communicator, capable of drafting accurate comments and corresponding with overseas vendors.
• Preferred: Familiarity withsafety/regulatory requirementsfor children’s products (CPSIA, ASTM) and experience with PLM systems.
Compensation & Benefits
• Base salary: $55,000–$65,000 (based on experience)
